Valzhyna Mort

Valzhyna Mort was born in 1981 in Minsk, Belarus. In April 2005 her first book “I’m as Thin as Your Eyelashes” (poetry, prose, translation) was published by Logvinov Press, Minsk, Belarus. In September 2004 received a “Crystal of Vilenica” price during the International Poetry festival in Slovenia. In November 2004 was one of the winners of Nataljla Arsenjeva Contest organized by Belarusian PEN Center. In January – May 2005 received GAUDE POLONIA scholarship in Warsaw, Poland. In May 2006 was a writer in residence at Literarisches Colloquium in Berlin, Germany.
